Updated: October 14, 2014

Match Date: 18 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Camp Nou

Still undefeated, Barcelona intends to continue its winning streak as they meet Eibar in Camp Nou this week.

The contenders

It does not take a genius to see that Barcelona is the match’s online betting favorite. In terms of form and depth, it is evident that the club has the edge over its opponents. Despite the fact that Rayo Vallecano gave them a hard time in producing successive goals, they have nonetheless, emerged as the victorious side.

If there is any worry that Barcelona has to address, this is probably the fatigue that some of its key players experience in fulfilling their international duties.

Although Eibar snatched a last minute equalizer against Levante, this did not prevent its head honcho, Gaizka Garitano from questioning the consistency of Undiano Mallenco. Mallenco was the referee of the said match and as far as Garitano is concerned, the match official did very little to impress.

Garitano argues that his side should have been awarded with another goal. Such could have made a huge difference in the previous match, but instead, both squads were forced to settle for an even steven finish.

Possible head turners

Barcelona’s young Munir El Haddadi did not score during the Rayo Vallecano duel, but he nailed a crucial assist to help the team maintain its momentum. It is good to see that this young player can also contribute in other aspects of the game.
