Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo both showed an impressive performance in their previous match last week.  Determined to improve their rank in the La Liga table, the squads forced an upset, much to the dismay of their opponents, which were also pegged as online betting favorites of the said encounters.

The contenders

Atletico Madrid

In many occasions, Atletico Madrid has always taken the minnow’s role against the rival squad, Real Madrid. Yet, in their recent derby, the defending champion was a real stunner when it clinched a narrow victory against the Madridistas.

Atletico’s Tiago took the early lead, but a resilient Cristiano Ronalddo fetched a penalty and successfully converted the equalizer. But just when many though that a stalemate will soon come to place, Arda Turan sealed the winning goal, which did not only give Atletico the victory, but also an upward move in the top-flight league’s table.

Celta Vigo

Although an own goal allowed Real Sociedad to equalize with Celta Vigo, it cannot be denied that what the former had shown is worthy of one’s recognition. A draw was not that bad considering the fact that La Real can easily pull away from them.

Possible head turners

Whenever Koke fails to score, he generates crucial assists. This is something that should keep Celta Vigo up on its toes for Koke might just easily tear them apart.
