Real Valladolid and Valencia

Match Date: 06 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: Estadio Nuevo José Zorrilla

Juan Ignacio Martinez is hopeful that Real Valladolid gets inspired and motivated by its crucial win against Almeria. Manucho took the early lead for the club when he scored Pucelas’ first goal during the 6th minute.

Real Valladolid struggles at the rock bottom part of the table. Yet, with the said victory, it was able to level its scored with other clubs such as Osasuna and their previous opponent, Almeria. With 30 points each, their fates shall be determined by their goal difference. Fortunately, this is the area where Real Valladolid has a solid edge and should they continue to perform well, there is also the possibility for them to outscore their rivals eventually.

Meanwhile, despite his delight over the club’s performance, Martinez stressed that it was just one of the many steps they have to take to get out of the relegation zone. One of the many obstacles that they have to face is Valencia.

The result of Valencia’s previous match was not as rosy as that of Real Valladolid. The Los Ches were thrashed by Getafe when the latter slapped them with 3 winning goals. Due to this, the club’s ambition to enter the Europa League next season became harder to achieve as they now have to deal with a 10-point lead.

If there is one thing, however, that Valencia should be thankful for, this is their strong grip in the top-flight league’s top 10.

Prediction:  Valencia

Valencia remains as the online betting favorite at 1.95 with an Asian handicap of 0-0.5. However, they cannot be too complacent as Valladolid boasts an undefeated streak in its last 8 matches.
