Match Date: 18 May 2014 (local time)

Venue: Estadio Nuevo José Zorrilla

It is a fierce survival battle for Real Valladolid and Granada as both squads fight to keep their La Liga status. The Pucelas suffered a stunner from the rock bottom Real Betis whilst Granada fell into the hands of the aggressive Almeria. Only 2 points separate the squad and securing a win or even a draw can make a difference in the clubs’ destiny.

Real Valladolid’s head honcho, Juan Ignacio Martinez was speechless after his side failed to protect its lead against Real Betis. The latter struggled throughout the match. However, Juanfran’s last minute goal destroyed the Pucelas instantly. Fortunately, its upcoming clash will be held at Nuevo José Zorrilla where they are the strongest.

Undefeated in its last 11 home matches, Valladolid also sports a better form than Granada. The former is undefeated in 4 of its last matches and will most likely use such opportunity to ensure their stay in Spain’s top-flight league. The sports betting site, 12BET takes Valladolid as its top pick in the clash.

On the other hand, Granada currently sits on the 17th spot of the table and is a notch away from the relegation zone. Survival issues should have never caused them problems. But the “individual errors,” which took place during the Almeria match resulted in a heartbreaking defeat. The loss did not only prevent them from collecting more points, but also from extending their lead.

Granada’s form has also failed to meet expectations. They were winless in 4 of their last 6 matches. Likewise, 10 of their last away matches led in a heart-wrenching defeat and unless they do something about it, there is a high possibility for them to drop into the second division.
