Real Sociedad

Match Date: 05 May 2014 (local time)

Venue: Estadio Anoeta

After securing another appearance in the European competition, Real Sociedad tries to outrank Sevilla, which suffered a crucial loss to Athletic Bilbao. Its next target is to nail an important win against Granada.

Jagoba Arrasate expressed his satisfaction over his side’s narrow victory against the relegated Real Betis. As mentioned, the victory goes beyond securing the needed points. Rather, it also sealed their 2nd consecutive appearance in the Europa League. Arrasate is hopeful that they will continue to bring more glory to the club during their final matches in Spain’s top-flight league.

Likewise, Arrasate acknowledged the resilience that Real Betis showed during the encounter.

In the meantime, Lucas Alcaraz blamed the 5-minute mess that his side encountered during the Rayo Vallecano match. Such scenario culminated with a 3-0 thrashing that the squad never expected.

Alcaraz mentioned that during the 5-minute spell, the unfortunate Granada wasted scoring opportunities that could have given them the upper hand. The situation became even harder as Yacine Brahimi received a booking, thus, forcing them to play with 10 men.

With the said loss, Granada remains stuck in the table’s 14th spot.

Prediction:  Real Sociedad

Granada’s poor away performance is a great hindrance to their success over the online betting favorite, Real Sociedad. The former has already bowed down to 8 of their last 9 away matches and conceded an average of 2 goals in 5 of them.

On the other hand, Real Sociedad’s current form tells a different story. The club is undefeated in 28 of its last 31 home matches.  It is not surprising to see them exploit their home court advantage in the said clash.
