Celta Vigo

Match Date: 03 May 2014 (local time)

Venue: Estadio El Sadar

Osasuna will be fighting for dear life in  its own territory as it faces a victorious Celta Vigo. The Los Rojillos suffered a major blow in Real Madrid’s hands and dropped closer to the relegation zone.

The pressure is on to Osasuna. The squad is left with no other option but to collect 3 extra points in order to keep their Primera status. As Andres Fernandez describes their upcoming match, it is a “make or break” clash and should be treated as if it will be their last appearance.

However, the Los Rojillos need to work on their home performance. Its last 3 home matches have all ended in a draw and while they can still earn a point from such result, this is not enough to ensure their safety.

As for Celta Vigo, they will enter the match with high confidence. Just recently, they destroyed Real Valladolid with 4 goals to 1. Clearly, they are the favorite of sports betting sites such as 12BET.

But then again, they cannot be too complacent. Their last 6 matches witnessed them concede an average of 2 goals. If they are not extra careful, they might create scoring opportunities for Osasuna and worse, let them easily get away with 2 goals. Such scenario is possible, knowing that Osasuna has the home court advantage to exploit. Moreover, they cannot underestimate the determination of a club vying for survival. There are many instances in which rock bottom squads have caused stunning upsets and clearly, they do not want to see themselves in this position.

Prediction:  Celta Vigo
