La Liga Match Preview: Malaga vs. Granada

Updated: April 1, 2014

Match Date: 06 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: Estadio La Rosaleda

After a down the wire match against the brave Real Betis, Malaga will try to extend its winning streak and hopefully, secure a stronger finish this season. Meanwhile, Granada is keen on changing the course of its destiny after stumbling into the mid-table during the battle against Levante.

Malaga’s inconsistent performance left the Los Boquerenos struggling in the mid-table. Compared to what they have achieved last season, it is evident that the club has not been meeting expectations. Indeed, the win could boost their confidence, but they need to clinch more wins. Confidence is irrelevant, most especially if it does not deliver the expected results.

On the other hand, Granada suffered its 2nd consecutive defeat under the hands of Levante. As a result, it fell into the 13th spot of the La Liga table.

Granada is in dire need of delivering victories. One of the areas that they should look into is their away form. It has not been successful in 6 of its last 7 matches. What is even worse is that they were unable to score in 5 of them. Such dilemma places them in a compromising scenario as they take the visitor’s role in their upcoming match.

Granada has been successful in 3 of their last 6 matches against Malaga. However, with their current status, it is hard to see them as the match’s online betting favorite.

Prediction: Granada
