Atletico Madrid vs Levante

Match Date: 04 May 2014 (local time)

Venue: Ciudad de Valencia

Despite being undefeated in their recent matches, Atletico Madrid’s top brass, Diego Simeone refuses to engage into talks as they shift their focus to their upcoming opponent, Levante.

Simeone stressed that they  “cannot afford to relax” in their upcoming matches in spite of maintaining a clean slate in their last 6 clashes and a 4-point lead against their closest title rival, Barcelona. He mentioned that it is much better if the club continue their title journey calmly.

Atletico Madrid has been successful in its 9 last matches. Aside from that, it has also kept a clean sheet in 8 of them. The club can be fairly described as a dark horse turned title contender as its impressive performances enabled them to reach La Liga’s top spot, as well as advance into the Champions League semis.

On the other hand, Joaquin Caparros and his men will be fighting for a stronger finish this season. Now that they are already one of La Liga’s 10 elite clubs, Levante wants to push itself to the limit and see how far it can go.

Coincidentally, its wish for a more challenging feat is granted since it is bound to meet Atletico Madrid. They may not be the encounter’s online betting favorite, but definitely, they are ready to take the risk in order to collect more crucial points prior to the season’s end.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid
