Real Madrid

Match Date: 30 July 2014 (local time)

Venue: Cotton Bowl

With both teams suffering from a narrow defeat, it is only fitting to expect a down the wire match between Real Madrid and AS Roma. The two will try to seek redemption and hopefully, participate in the last leg of the friendly competition.

The contenders

Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale did an impressive job in bagging the lead for the squad when he netted the match’s first goal on the 10th minute.

The Los Blancos were definitely in control and were on the verge of clinching a victory when a resilient Mauro Icardi fetched a penalty on the 69th and scored the equalizer for Inter.

With the score tied at 1-1, only a heart stopping penalty shootout can break the stalemate. Yet, much to the disappointment of Real Madrid’s supporters, it was Inter, which prevailed in the said match.

AS Roma

Like Real Madrid, the online betting favorite, AS Roma also failed to impress during its match against Manchester United.

The Red Devils established a 3-point lead courtesy of Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney, who scored twice in the match.

Nevertheless, the second half witnessed Italy’s capital club make a great comeback when goals from Miralem Pjanic and Francesco Totti tried to cut down the lead.

But apparently, it was the Red Devils who secured the upper-hand in the said match.

The star men

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely feature in the upcoming encounter again. One can also expect goals from Totti and Pjanic and Gervinho.

What the odds say

Due to the team depth and form of both squads, the match will more likely end in a draw or a narrow win from Real Madrid.
