Manchester United did not participate during the inaugural edition of the ICC in its current name and format, unlike Inter who placed seventh last year. This meeting would be interesting as the English and Italian sides have already met before. Their two most recent battles resulted on a draw and a win for Manchester United.

Manchester United

The Red Devils are currently leading the tally in their respective group in spite of being new to the competition. They opened their campaign with a victory against fellow debutants Roma who were beaten by a 3-2 finish with winning goals from Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata. The match was also Louis van Gaal’s second straight win with the side since his inauguration as the Man City’s new coach recently. His first victory was a massive 0-7 thrashing of LA Galaxy on a friendly.

The club from Old Trafford might be having a revival under their Dutch coach following a disastrous campaign last season under David Moyes. The side are gradually becoming more tactical on the pitch and their possession have also dramatically improved.

Internazionale

Compared to last year when they ranked at the bottom of their group, Inter’s performance this time around is way more agreeable.  The squad are currently placed second in the table, following their win over Real Madrid on penalties. However, they are not yet guaranteed of a secure spot in ICC’s next round as they have yet to topple Manchester United and AS Roma in their two upcoming matches.

Nerazzurri’s defense is their best playing element but they have to do better in the attack in order to score more goals or avoid winning only by penalties. They must also improve on set pieces and keep better possession of the ball.

Online betting tip: Manchester United will remain atop the table by thumping Inter on a clean sheet.
