Liverpool ICC final

Liverpool obtained a total of eight points during the group stage, where they conquered their foes twice and won on penalties once. They are now en route to meeting England neighbors and rivals Manchester United for a chance to bag their very first International Champions Cup.

Raheem Sterling has so far been Liverpool’s most prolific player, having netted two goals in three fixtures. Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen, and Suso—who scored one goal apiece—round up the elite four who put the squad atop the group table. Emre Can and Lucas Leiva, meanwhile, played crucial role during their penalty shootout against Manchester City.

Liverpool faced Olympiacos during their opening at the ICC group stage and thumped the Greeks on a clean sheet. This was followed by a breathtaking encounter against the reigning EPL champions Manchester City. The clash resulted in a 2-2 draw and was therefore decided on penalties. The Reds eventually took the silverware away. In their last fixture, Brendan Rodgers’ men battled out against Italian club AC Milan and dominated the war early on with an Allen opener. Suso’s 89th minute effort ensured that their rivals will go home empty-handed. This wrapped up the premier League players’ unbeaten streak in the group round which therefore gave them the seeding to compete in the final.

In spite of their wins at the ICC, Liverpool’s form is not completely reliable. They were beaten twice in their past six matches as they succumbed to Brondby 2-1 and Roma 0-1—both on club friendlies. They also need to their abilities in preventing their opponents from creating chances.

Online betting tip: Liverpool will face a very much improved Manchester United and while there is chance for this match to en in a draw, The Reds might lose all the spoils on penalties.
