Walter Mazzarri is positive that the Nerazzurris still have a room for improvement even with their impressive win against the strong Fiorentina.

Mazzarri admitted that there are occasions where Inter Milan have been too “naïve” and to a certain extent, “lazy” that they often create more scoring opportunities for their opponents than for themselves.

Inter Milan have been struggling to have a consistent performance since the start of the year. This has readily compromised their title campaign. Yet, on the brighter side of life, Inter Milan have successfully ensured their spot in the European competition the next season. However, they cannot afford to be complacent as there are other clubs, which are also on keen on stealing the spotlight away from them.

In summary, Inter’s current form show that their number of wins, losses and draws during their last six (6) matches are equally distributed.

Unable to improve their rank, Cagliari remains in a very compromising scenario. The club is already a vulnerable relegation target and with the loss to Livorno, their chances of making it to the next season are slim.

Cagliari currently sits on the 15th spot of the Serie A table. Technically speaking, they are still safe. But if they continue to lose their upcoming battles, they will easily slip into the rock bottom part of the competition and as the relegation face-off toughens, anything becomes possible. A minnow may soon find itself in the safety zone, while those that were initial perceived as the strong ones, may crumble.

The Rossoblu’s current team form is literally, out of shape. They have only won once in their last 6 battles. Although it was an impressive one, the club needs to remember that true battles are won in the pitch and not in what the statistics say.

Prediction:  Inter Milan

Inter Milan had a tradition of lifting trophies. This tradition has helped them become one of the best in Italy’s top-flight league and obviously, a clear favorite in the match against Cagliari.
