Hoffenheim’s late rally against sent the spoils to Borussia Monchengladbach as they forced a draw in the said encounter. It was also because of this impressive performance, which makes them capable of forcing another stalemate. But this time, it will be against their next opponent, Wolfsburg.

Despite settling for a single point, the club’s head honcho, Mark Gisdol was impressed by his squad’s performance. He stressed that a late rally, most especially those that forces a draw is always a “good” thing in Bundesliga.

Pitted against Wolfsburg, the club gets the opportunity of exploiting its home court advantage in which they average at around two (2) goals in nine (9) of their last home matches.

Wolfsburg ensured their rights to qualifying in the European competition next season as they scored a major upset against the current league runner-up, Bayer Leverkusen.

Early into the match, Bas Dost manifested a premonition of what is about to happen in the face-off. Dost scored the club’s first goal on the 13th.  However, Bayer’s Sidney Sam responded on the 45th when he netted the match’s equalizer. Sam’s goal was the last for Bayer as Wolfsburg’s warriors such as Luiz Gustavo and Ricardo Rodriguez increased Wolfsburg’s lead.

The said victory was the club’s third consecutive win. It also tightened their grip on the 5th spot of the table and if they become consistent, they will be one of the most anticipated contenders in the Europa League.

Prediction: Draw

Although there is a huge gap which separates the two in the Bundesliga table, their previous performance is a giant boost to their morale and this will definitely inspire them to take their game into another level. Wolfsburg may have the higher rank since they sit on the 5th spot, but Hoffenheim is the 10th best club in this highly competitive league. Expect a down the wire match to transpire between the two.
