Manchester City v Wigan Athletic - FA Cup Final

Match Date: 23 October 2013 (local time)

Venue: Parken

It is a make or break situation for Roberto Mancini as he leads Galatasaray for the 2nd time in the Champions League. Likewise, the FC Copenhagen camp is in full preparation as the team aspires for greater glory in the tournament.

Team Form

After a draw against Juventus, newly appointed Galatasaray manager, Roberto Mancini has yet another chance to showcase his worth as they meet FC Copenhagen.

A thrashing by Real Madrid almost sank Galatasaray’s hopes in the tournament. With the Los Blancos scoring 6 goals and with them countering with just a single point, the club saw themselves struggling for survival. The arrival of Mancini, however, gave a glimpse of hope after the club forced a hard-fought draw against Juventus.

Gala is currently at the bottom pit of their group with a draw and a loss apiece. Although FC Copenhagen has the same record in the tournament, the latter has a better goal difference, which makes Mancini’s job a lot harder than what is expected.

FC Copenhagen

Apart from the possibility of improving their rank in the group, FC Copenhagen will also have the chance to test their strength against a Turkish football outfit for the very first time. Despite having the edge, the club is not taking Gala easy. This is most especially true now that the veteran Roberto Mancini was asked to take over of the club.
As mentioned, only the goal difference separates both teams. A single victory makes a big difference into their future in the tournament. It could lead to their ouster or it can bring another hope to their survival.

Although Mancini’s presence is indeed, intimidating, the Danish outfit is undaunted. Against Real Madrid, the latter has only scored 4 whereas it thrashed Gala with 6 goals. Similarly, they limited Juventus’s scoring spree with just a goal. Given the fact that they were facing bigger teams and that they are able to put a temporary stop or slow down to these club’s scoruing spree, is already a display of strength and acumen on the pitch.

Football betting tip: Galatasaray 1-1 FC Copenhagen

Both camps show off the possibility of clinching a victory. FC Copenhagen will most probably take advantage from the fact that they are playing in their own soil. However, with Mancini’s determination and his managerial job on the line, it will be hard for Galatasaray to settle on second best. Therefore, expect this match to end in a nerve-cracking draw.
