Fulham vs. Liverpool Preview: Liverpool Continues Its Scoring Rampage

Online betting favorite, Liverpool visits Craven Cottage to continue their superb demolition job. The thrashing of Arsenal sends out a strong message that they are a force to reckon with. But they must be wary too as Fulham’s renewed confidence can cause another major upset.

Team Form

Fulham’s late equalizer was enough to spoil Manchester United’s attempt to move closer to the top. But still, the upset was not enough to move the minnow from the rock bottom pit of the table. Nevertheless, René Meulensteen disclosed that he was impressed by the club’s “battling qualities.”

Indeed, it was one of the most spectacular performances of Fulham. Just when the final whistle was about to give three (3) points to Manchester United, Darren Bent spoiled their opponent’s jubilation via forcing an even steven finish.

But perhaps the bigger question that Meulensteen and his men should address is how far can they go with their renewed confidence. Will it be enough to help them survive Liverpool’s upcoming attacks? Maybe they can pull off another upset, but it is also possible for them to suffer Arsenal’s fate.

The reason behind their impending downfall is their poor form. The club has only won once in their last six (6) matches. They have been conceding an average of two (2) goals during their last five (5) matches and if they are not careful, Liverpool can readily use this to their advantage.

Liverpool’s head honcho, Brendan Rodgers cannot help but praise his club’s “brilliant” performance against Arsenal. The club displayed superb strength and determination when they thrashed the league leader with five (5) goals to one (1).

The result of the said match readily opened doors for Liverpool’s chances of securing a silverware this season. This meant that they only need to collect six (6) more points to make it on top and with their current team form, it is indeed, highly possible.

The Reds are undefeated during their last six (6) matches. Moreover, they have been scoring at least three (3) goals in  3 of their recent encounters.

But despite the large possibility of being the king of this season, Rodgers simply acknowledged their “outstanding” performance this season. He also stressed that as of the moment, their main goal is to keep their focus and concentration until they are really in a position to be called as title contenders.

Prediction: Liverpool

The outstanding performance at Anfield readily sends a clear and strong warning to other clubs that dare to go against the Premier League giant. Apparently, the upcoming match definitely goes to Liverpool. Fulham can attempt to pull  off another upset though. But with how things go for the Reds, stopping them seems to be impossible as of the moment.
