Europa League Preview (Group Stage): Legia Warszawa vs. KSC Lokeren OV

Once again, the Polish outfit, Legia Warszawa gets the opportunity to feature in the Europa League. The club is no stranger in the competition, thus, giving them the outright advantage. But then again, they cannot be too sure as debutant KSC Lokeren OV is also eager to carve its name in the league’s history.

Legia managed to reach the competition’s group stage last season after exiting the Champions League play-offs. Clearly, the exposure to the Champions League adds more experience to the squad’s playing techniques and maneuvers.
However, it also builds more pressure since the squad is expected to dominate the tournament after having impressed in the Champions League.


KSC Lokeren OV

As mentioned, this is the first time that Lokeren shall compete in the Europa League. Thus, it cannot be denied that the squad is also experiencing a certain degree of pressure. Its lackluster performance in the domestic league seems to make things  a bit harder for the club. On a closer look, it can be observed that a 4 out of its 7 matches either ended in a draw or a loss. They are still very far from the relegation zone though, but they need to clean up their act in order to make things a lot better.


Possible head turners

Legia’s Orlando Sa leads the club’s scoreboard this season and apparently, there is a high possibility for the poacher to  impress in this particular tournament and help the online betting favorite advance into the latter stage of the competition.
