San Marino has yet to win a single match in EURO. Can they do they it against Lithuania?

The contenders

San Marino

San Marino is the ultimate minnow in the group. A closer look into EURO history, shows that the squad has not won a single match in all EURO matches that it participated.

Lithuania

Huge expectations were thrown at Lithuania when it first participated as an independent state in the EURO competition. Considering the fact that it is the largest Baltic state that opted to separate from the Soviet Union, many thought that the country shall be the melting pot of football talent and success in the said region.

Unfortunately, the promising side of Lithuanian football did not emerge. This is in stark contrast to its neighboring countries such as Latvia and Estonia. The two have had their taste of qualifying in the play-offs whilst Lithuania remains on the sidelines.
But while it is true that Lithuania is still working on achieving the zenith  of footballing success, it cannot be denied that compared to Belarus, they have a better chance of winning. As a matter of fact, Lithuania is considered as the game’s online betting favorite.

Possible head turners

Lithuania finished as runner-up in the recently concluded, Baltic Cup. Mindaugas Kalonas, who scored 3 goals was one of the most prominent figures in the competition and there is a strong possibility that he will also feature during the qualifying stage.

The best bet

Apparently, the best bet goes to Lithuania. Its performance is not that competitive compared to other European power houses, but definitely, it is  much better than that of San Marino.
