Match Date: 01 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Vicente Calderon

Juventus is keen on keeping a clean slate in the Champions League despite the threats emanating from Atletico Madrid’s camp. The Italian giant is confident that it will be able to snatch another win in spite of the difficulty created by Diego Simeone’s much awaited return.

The contenders

Atletico Madrid

Atletico’s 4-0 win against Sevilla is a dangerous sign of Diego Simeone’s return. The squad’s head honcho has been watching its club from the sidelines after serving a 5-match ban. His absence has been seen as one of the reasons behind Atletico’s evident decline both in the domestic and Champions Leagues.

Yet, now that he has finally returned and with Mario Mandzukic’s fast recovery, Atletico elicits possibilities of dominating and owning the match at Vicente Calderon. It is only fitting to expect more grit from La Liga’s incumbent titleholder.

Aware that Atletico is finally back on its winning ways, Juventus’ trusted striker, Carlos Tevez, is confident that they will withstand and outlast Atletico’s attacks.

The Argentinian poacher stressed that their impenetrable defence is the key to securing a victory against the online betting favorite.

Possible head turners

Tevez will definitely step up in the said match and so is Atletico’s Mario Mandzukic. Mandzukic’s having been a part of Bayern’s starting XI in the tournament will add more depth in the squad. Midfielder Koke is also an influential presence in the said match and if combined with Mandzukic, maketh a seemingly indestructible tandem.
