Match Date: 21 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: GSP Stadium

Apoel Nicosia will pull off an attempt to revive its Champions League campaign after its failed attempts to secure a victory. Do they have the strength to make it against the French powerhouse, Paris Saint Germain? Or will they be forced to endure another disappointing match result?

The contenders

Apoel made its Champions League debut with a frustrating 1-0 loss against Barcelona. It wasn’t really that bad since they were up against the Catalan giants, which has been dominating the tournament for quite some time. The said match could have ended in a thrashing, but Apoel’s defence was plain tight and impressive.

For the second time around, the club had the chance to intensify their campaign when they went against Ajax, yet, their efforts ended in an even steven finish, which lowered their possibilities of advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

Sitting at the rock bottom part of Group F, Apoel now has to deal with injury issues that may readily affect their campaign. The squad shall be missing two of its influential players due to injuries. These are Nuno Morais and Stathis Aloneftis.

Paris Saint Germain

Currently occupying the top spot of Group F, PSG made a grand comeback when it clinched a narrow win against Barcelona.

Unfortunately, the online betting favorite cannot afford to be too complacent. Its lackluster performance in Ligue 1 coupled by the injury suffered by its talismanic striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic may readily upset their campaign this season.

Possible head turner

Lucas Moura has been prolific for the French outfit and it is likely for him to bring such enthusiasm in the international stage.
