Barcelona and PSG- Champions League

Match Date: 10 December 2014 (local time)

Barcelona vs. Paris Saint Germain (PSG)

The battle between Barcelona and PSG is not about the team that will qualify in the next stage of the competition. Rather, it is about the squad that will dominate Group F. There’s no question that both clubs are already heading towards the knockout stage. The two have already accumulated the much needed points to qualify, but it brings a certain high or feelings of satisfaction when a club solely occupies the top spot.

For Barcelona, their attempt to dominate is readily supported by the fact that they’ll be playing in their own ground. Their strong performance in the domestic league also builds up their confidence amidst the absence of Dani Alves and Rafinha, who are currently serving their suspensions.

As for the French outfit, keeping a strong grip of the top spot should motivate them in continuing their impressive performance. They cannot afford to be complacent since their 1-point lead over the host is highly manageable. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also back on the pitch. Pairing him with Edinson Cavani gives the Parisians the attacking power that could counter the likes of the great Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

With both squads eager to go on top, there’s a possibility for the match to end in an even steven finish.

Prediction: 1-1

Ajax vs. Apoel Nicosia

With the online betting favorites already secured of their respective spots in the knockout stage, Ajax and Apoel Nicosia will be fighting for a place in the Europa League.

Apparently, Ajax has the advantage over their opponents. This edge is not just about Ajax playing in its own ground, rather, it is about the latter’s performance, which is better in all aspects.

Prediction: 2-1
