FC Porto- Champions League

Match Date: 10 December 2014 (local time)

FC Porto vs. Shakthar Donetsk

After topping Group H, there’s no doubt that FC Porto will already advance in the knockout stage. Shakthar barely threatens their dominance, but should Porto secures the three (3) points, they will be creating a massive lead, which adds to the prestige of being the group winner.

As for Shakthar Donetsk, they too, has already qualified into the next stage. Thus, the results barely matters. However, Shakthar is also a team known for displaying exceptional matches on the pitch.  Considering this aspect at hand, it is less likely for the club to show a lackluster performance despite the guarantee of making it to the next round.

Prediction: 1-2

Athletic Bilbao vs. Bate Borisov

Playing at home makes Athletic Bilbao the ultimate online betting favorite of the match. Despite its not so good stint in the Champions League, the Spanish outfit remains hopeful that it will have a graceful exit and make it to the Europa League.

It seemed impossible at first, considering how the squad struggled in Primera Division. The increasing pressure and demand from both leagues almost destroyed them. But Athletic Bilbao has finally adjusted. And although it took them quite a while to fit in, they were still able to do it.

Bate Borisov should be wary of the host’s current attitude towards the Champions League. It presents danger to their ambition of also having an honorable fallout from the competition. But sadly, it seems that this honorable fallout will no longer transform into reality as Athletic Bilbao is highly determined to destroy them by all means.

Prediction: 2-0
