Atletico Madrid remains undefeated in its group and is sure of a spot in the tournament’s next stage. However, former Champions League champion, FC Porto struggles to survive.

Atletico Madrid vs. Austria Wien

Atletico Madrid is determined to clinch their 4th Champions League win and maintain a clean slate in Vicente Calderon. Atletico is one of the group leaders in the tournament, which remain undefeated.

Atletico hardly feels Radamel Falcao’s absence in both the domestic and international arena. The club continues a massive display of strength and consistency as seen in their past performances. In La Liga, the club has only lost once and is just a notch short to topple the league’s reigning leader, Barcelona. Pitted against Austria Wien, Atletico is expected to capitalize in their home court advantage and score more points.

As for the Austria Wien’s case, well, the club apparently struggles in the tournament. It had its chance against Zenit Petersburg, but unfortunately, they had to settle for a draw. Their journey in the competition becomes even harder as they will be encountering Atletico in the latter’s territory, thus, increasing the pressure to score more goals.

FC Porto vs.  Zenit Petersburg

Seeing the Portistas lose is quite unexpected. Well at least not from a club that once dominated the tournament and even brought home the coveted silverware. But a look into their performance depicts their slowdown. They have only won once out of their 3 last matches and the defeat to Zenit Petersburg, was simply disappointing.

The Portitas, however, remains fortunate. Their domestic league performance has been impressive, This lessens their worry a bit. But what is more important is for them to divert their attention to the Champions League.

Meanwhile, contrary to FC Porto’s performance, Zenit Petersburg has been enjoying its place in the group. The club currently sits at the 2nd spot and looks keen on advancing in the tournament’s next stage.

Online bookie prediction: FC Porto 1-2 Zenit Petersburg
