German football enthusiasts are lucky to see their favorite clubs play right before their eyes. But for supporters outside the European nation, TV broadcasts or updates from American or Asian Sportsbooks would be enough. Thrills abound the competition, and with a match between powerhouses Hannover 96 and Augsburg now set to take place, supporters will have a good time watching incredible maneuvers. The tourney will be held on September 21 at the HDI-Arena, Hannover’s home court.

It has so far been a remarkable Bundesliga journey for Hannover, having started their campaign with a rousing 2-0 win over Wolfsburg. While their second match resulted in a 3-0 defeat from Monchengladbach, it was nonetheless immediately suppressed with two back-to-back victories from Schalke 04 and Mainz 05. The side scored 2-1 and 4-1 in those tourneys, respectively. Die Roten’s most recent match gave them their second downfall in the season—2-0 from Bayern Munich—but team boss Mirko Slomka stays positive that his men will be able to unleash superb comebacks in their subsequent competitions.

Like Hannover, Augsburg are also enjoying a decent stint this term. They may have started their campaign a little off, with losses incurred from Borrusia Dortmund 0-4 and Werder Bremen 0-1, but Fuggerstädter have since been improving. In fact, their last three matches have all favored the side, underscoring triumphs from equally interesting contenders such as Stuttgart 2-1, Nurnberg 1-0, and Freiburg 2-1. The side’s defense is looking astoundingly good and their creative faculties are gradually being ripened. This season should mark a substantial improvement from the side’s performance in the last term.

As per five matches, Hannover and Augsburg have already amassed nine points each and conceded the same number of goals (seven). The former have scored eight goals while the latter, five. This tourney will prove to be a very tough one and should the trends remain agreeable for both sides, a 1-1 deadlock will likely seal the result. This will be both sides’ first draw in the tournament.
