Match Date: 25 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Rhein-Neckar-Arena

VfB Stuttgart reaps the rewards of forcing an even steven finish against Bayer Leverkusen. The club has already veered away from the relegation zone although they can still hit rock bottom if their current momentum is not sustained.

The contenders

Eintracht Frankfurt

The match’s online betting favorite, Eintracht Frankfurt suffered a drop in the Bundesliga ranking due to incurring a loss against the newly-promoted club, SC Paderborn. Die Adler already fell into the 8th spot of the top-flight league after a heartbreaking 3-1 loss to Paderborn.

There is really nothing to worry since it is just the season’s start. However, with the clubs getting stronger everyday, Frankfurt cannot afford to lose yet another match or it might fell out of the top 10.

VfB Stuttgart

Stuttgart pulled off a stunner against Bayer Leverkusen when they forced the Bundesliga powerhouse to settle for a draw.

Leverkusen took an early 2-0 lead prior to the end of the first half. However, a resilient Die Roten rose above the challenge and was able to equalize after the final whistle.

As mentioned, Stuttgart is already out of the danger zone, but it has not veered far enough to feel so secure of its current position.

Possible head turners

Martin Harnik was one of Stuttgart’s persistent heroes in their clash against Leverkusen. The power forward took several shots until he finally netted the goal, which fueled Stuttgart’s success in clinching an equalizer.
