Borussia Dortmund recovered from its disappointing loss to Bayer Leverkusen during the season’s opening via clinching a win against Augsburg. There is a strong chance for the Borussians to snatch another victory when they face SC Freiburg, but it will not be an easy one. Just recently, the club is hit by yet another injury issue that may hamper their title quest this season.

The contenders

Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund was simply spectacular during its face-off against Augsburg. The said encounter witnessed Jurgen Klopp and his men take full control by the 14th minute. Marco Reus triggered the squad’s scoring instinct when he nailed the match ‘s first goal on the 11th. Three (3) minutes after, Sokratis took the lead and by the 78th, Adrian ramos scored the goal that sealed Augsburg’s fate.

Unfortunately, their upcoming match shall see Reus watching from the sideline. The prolific midfielder suffered an injury during the European Qualifiers, which was pitted against a determined Scotland.

Given this aspect at hand, the squad will be forced to make adjustments in its current strategies in order to climb the Bundesliga ladder again.

SC Freiburg

Freiburg missed the opportunity to score 3 points when Borussia Monchengladbach forced them to settle for as coreless stalemate.

Freiburg had its chance when Admir Mehmedi was given the penalty and unfortunately, Mehmedi missed the shot that could have pushed them to the top of the Bundesliga table.

Possible head turners

Ciro Immobile has yet to feature in Bundesliga. But perhaps, things will get a lot better when Immobile pairs with playmaker Shinji Kagawa, who has just announced his exit from Old Trafford.

It does not take a genius to see that Borussia Dortmund is the clear online betting  favorite. In 12BET, the squad is valued to win at 1.24.
