Updated: October 24, 2014

Match Date: 26 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Signal Iduna

With both teams suffering from three (3) consecutive losses, winning is the only outcome that Borussia Dortmund and Hannover 96 desire.

The contenders

Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund maintains a clean slate in Group D of the Champions League after thrashing Galatasaray with four (4) massive goals and a clean sheet. Unfortunately, their classy performance does not translate in the domestic league.

Just recently, the squad was slapped with a narrow defeat to the newly promoted club, FC Koln. This resulted to a drop in their ranking at the Bundesliga table and should they fail to collect points, their chances of appearing in the Champions League next season are readily compromised.

So far, Dortmund has only won twice in its last eight (8) matches. Five (5) of them ended in bitter losses, while the other one resulted to a painstaking stalemate.

Hannover 96

Hannover joins Dortmund in the list of clubs, which have experienced 3 straight losses. During its clash against Borussia Monchengladbach, Hannover had to endure a clean sheet whilst their opponent netted 3 goals.

Hannover has the slight advantage over Dortmund in terms of rank since the former occupies the 10th spot of the league table. Yet, in terms of team depth and form, Hannover will have to go the extra mile to match Dortmund’s prowess.

Possible head turners

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Marco Reus and Adrian Ramos were prolific during the Galatasaray face-off. Considering this aspect at hand, there is indeed, a high possibility for the trio to dominate Hannover in order to appease and please their roaring crowd.
