Hoffenheim and Hannover 96

Match Date: 26 March 2014 (local time)

Venue: Rehein-Neckar-Arena

There is a high possibility for Hoffenheim and Hannover 96’s match to end in a stalemate. Hoffenheim will want to extend the ephemeral joy brought by a successful execution of revenge against Bayer Leverkusen whilst Hannover 96 is desperate to recover from its disappointing loss against the injury-stricken Borussia Dortmund.

Scoring an average of 2 goals, Bayer Leverkusen was Hoffenheim’s recent victim. The match could have ended in a draw, but they remained undaunted and instead, Anthony Modeste’s scoring touches sealed Bayer’s fate. It became even more meaningful as Hoffenheim was given the chance to exact their revenge against their opponent. It can be remembered that the squad lost 3 important points as claims against Stefan Kierling’s ghost goal were dismissed.

On the other hand, Hannover 96 slipped back to its losing ways when they bowed down to Bundesliga runner-up , Borussia Dortmund. The club has failed to exploit the absence of Dortmund’s key players. Instead, they were beaten to the core as Dortmund‘s triumvirate (Mats Hummels, Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus) dominated the 2nd half of the match.

At a glance, it is easy to give the upper hand to Hoffenheim. At any rate, they maintain an undefeated home run against Hannover 96 during their last 5 matches. However, a closer look shows that only 3 points separate the two and that could be easily addressed by a single win.

Apparently, both squads are justified to be the match’s online betting favorites as the two will less likely give way.
