Borussians, Up For A Scoring Spree Against Braunschweig

Updated: August 15, 2013

Match Preview: Borussia Dortmund VS Braunschweig
Match Date: 18 August 2013 (local time)
Venue: Signal Iduna Park

Going against Braunschweig is a total giveaway for Jürgen Klopp and the rest of the Borussians (Borussia Dortmund). As the club looks forward to getting the Bundesliga silverware, the club shall not waste any opportunity to clinch another major title.

Previous performance
The Borussians continues to be a serious threat to other clubs. Just recently, it won the German Super Cup title against archrivals, Bayern Munchen. It won all of its last 5 matches, and kept a clean sheet in 3 of them. During their battle against FC Augsburg, the club secured 4 goals, courtesy of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a penalty by Robert Lewandowski.

Meanwhile, it is a different story for Braunschweig (The Lions). Out of their last 5 matches, they only won twice. The rest of them ended in a defeat. Entering into the match, the club needs tons of major adjustments. Yet, if there is one spectacular aspect that can be attributed to the Lions, it is the low number of goals conceded during its past matches. Except for West Ham where the latter scored 3 goals, they have managed to set their conceded goals to 2. As for their last encounter with Werder Bremen, they lost by just a point.

What to expect
The Borussians are not online betting favorites for nothing. They are one of the league’s buzzwords. Auba will most likely lead the club’s scoring. But there is a question on whether he can strike a hat trick again. Getting goals from Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus is also very likely to happen.

As for the Lions, they shall employ their massive defence once again and try to keep the Borussian’s strikers at bay. They may limit their opponents scoring. Yet, there is a slim chance for them to emerge victorious in the match.
