Team Form

Borussia Monchengladbach

The two (2) consecutive defeats saw Die Fohlen slip to the 5th spot of the Bundesliga table. Pitted against another equally aggressive club, Bayer Leverkusen, the squad has a mountain to surmount before it can bounce back to the league’s top three (3).

The opening of Bundesliga’s second half did not work well into Die Fohlen’s favor. The Bavarians destroyed them in their own territory and just recently, it was Hannover, which demolished them.

Monchengladbach’s form is still impressive though as their number of wins, losses and defeats during their last six (6) matches are evenly distributed. However, the squad needs to man on the pitch if they are still, interested in making it to the Champions League next season.

Likewise, it must be noted that striker Luuk de Jong shall not make it to the Bayer encounter. The striker is out on loan to Newcastle United. Nevertheless, another striker shall be gracing the pitch again and this is no other than Max Kruse.
Kruse has already trained with the club and expects to join them as they travel to Borussia-Park.

Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer put an end to its three (3) consecutive losing streak after winning a thriller against VfB Stuttgart. Bayer remains in the second spot of the Bundesliga table and are already four points clear at top of last season’s runner-up, Borussia Dortmund.

Sami Hyypiä and his boys did an impressive job when it climbed to the next highest rank in Germany’s top-flight league. However, their recent performances were not as impressive as what they have previously shown. The consecutive defeats took a major blow in their form. Yet, with the win against Stuttgart, they are back on their winning ways.

To ensure their strong grip, Bayer acquired the services of Andres Guardado. Hailed as one of the best wingers in La Liga. His addition is expected to add more depth to the already strong Bayer squad.

There are also reports of the club’s attempt to bring back the playmaker, Shinji Kagawa into Bundesliga. However, this report is yet to be confirmed.

Prediction: A stalemate

One can look forward to an epic clash as two Bundesliga titans meet, This is yet another nerve wrecking encounter that every supporter should not miss.
