Bayern Munchen will strive to keep their undefeated record at Signal Iduna. But it will not be a bed of roses for the Bavarians. Borussia Dortmund is determined to end their losing spells and there is no better venue than doing it in their own ground.

Match Date: 23 November 2013 (local time)

Venue: Signal Iduna Park

Team Form

Borussia Dortmund

Major losses wounded Borussia Dortmund. These have prevented them from overcoming Bayern Munchen in the top spot of the Bundesliga. In the Champions League, it has weakened their chances of advancing when they lost to Arsenal.
Recently, the defeat to Wolfsburg added another toll to Dortmund’s burden. They had the lead, courtesy of Marco Reus. Unfortunately, the Wolves’ late rally converted 2 winning goals. Certainly, Dortmund’s sudden decline is something to worry about. This is most especially true in the upcoming match since they are pitted against their title rival, Bayern Munchen, which has remained undefeated this season.
The Borussians have the initial advantage as the match shall be held in Signal Iduna where they are the strongest. Dormund have won 6 of their last encounters at home. Four (4) of them saw the club dominate both periods.

However, Jurgen Klopp is not taking any chances. As preparation for the match, defence will be his top priority. Necessary changes and substitutions shall be made, most especially now that Neven Subotic’s knee injury will force him to be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Bayern Munchen

Dortmund is not the only party that injury issues have affected. Even the undefeated Bavarians also have to endure its repercussions.
Recently, the club announced the successful operation of midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger. Schweinsteiger was sidelined due to an ankle injury. Although it is true that his ankle problems are about to end soon, still, it meant that he shall not be joining his teammates until he is 100%. And in a match against Borussia Dortmund, Schweinsteiger is a major loss.
Nevertheless, if there is anything that the Bavarians should be thankful for, it is the return of new recruit, Thiago Alcantara. Back into the training, his presence in the pitch may fill the void that Schweinsteiger left in the club.

Bayern has been pretty successful in 26 of their 29 Bundesliga matches. But only the match against Borussia Dortmund shall determine if their winning streak will continue or will soon come to an end.

Football betting tip: Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Bayern Munchen

Despite the strong opposition felt from the Borussians, expect the Bavarians to stand their ground and refuse to wave the white flag. Dortmund will exploit their home court advantage and shall fight tooth and nail to secure the victory.
In the event where both parties remain unsinkable during the 90-minute action-packed battle, this down the wire match also manifests the possibility of having an even steven finish.
