Champions League and Bundesliga runner-up, Borussia Dortmund had to endure a humiliating loss from the minnow, Hamburg as the latter slapped them with a 3-0 victory.

Dortmund’s head honcho,  Jurgen Klopp fumed with anger and disappointment for his side’s complacent attitude towards Hamburg. The said defeat caused them to be stuck in the 3rd spot of the Bundesliga table as they struggle to outlast Bayer Leverkusen.

Compared to Hamburg, the Borussian squad overflows with depth and strength. The likes of Robert Lewandowski and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang readily empower the club. However, neither Lewandowski nor Aubameyang scored a single goal to keep the Borussians ahead in the match.

Giving Klopp more problems is the injury suffered by Sven Bender. The latter will be sidelined for ten (10) weeks due to an inflamed pelvis. Apparently, the midfielder will be also missed in the Zenit Petersburg at Russia.

A 10-man Nurnberg emerged as the victorious side over the resilient Braunschweig, The club responded via securing two (2) consecutive goals courtesy of Hiroshi Kiyotake and Tomas Pekhart. The duo fired their winning shots after Per Nilsson received his red card.

Nurnberg’s current morale is quite the opposite of Borussia Dortmund. Braunschweig never gave them an easy win. They minnow kept them on their toes and so the victory was a definite boost not only to their morale, but also to their rank. They now site at the 12th spot of the Bundesliga table and hope to clinch another defining triumph at Signal Iduna.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have all it takes to win the match. Yet, they should learn from their past mistake. They cannot afford to be complacent as this might drag them out of their competition aims and vision.
