Hannover 96 v FC Bayern Muenchen - Bundesliga

Sports betting’s outright favorite, Bayern Munchen is off to have a display of their strength in front of their supporters as they welcome Schalke 04 to a nail-biting match.  The Bavarians plan to extend their lead to twenty-two (22) points as they continue to defend their title.

Match Date: 01 March 2014 (local time)

Venue: Allianz Arena

Team Form

Bayern Munchen

Once again, the Bavarians proved why they are Germany’s best football club. The defending champion has extended its lead to a huge nineteen (19) points as they slapped Hannover with a 4-0 victory at AWD Arena.

Despite playing in a different territory, Bayern Munchen has easily clinched the victory over their opponent as goals from Thomas Muller, Thiago Alcantara and Mario Mandzukic poured like rain.

The Bavarians have never been defeated in the domestic league since the season started. So far, their (worst) performance was a draw and in the Champions League, a narrow defeat against Manchester City was their only “losing experience” in the said competition.

With the way things go for Pep Guardiola, it is not surprising to see them as the match’s heavy favorite. They have scored an average of two (2) goals in their last fourteen (14) matches and were able to keep four (4) clean sheets during their most recent encounter, which further prove why betting on them proves to be a lucrative one.

Schalke 04

The Royal Blues lost their chance to topple Borussia Dortmund in the 3rd spot as Mainz 05 forced them to settle for a scoreless stalemate.

Roman Neustädtet together with Ralf Fährmann admitted that their recent opponent, indeed, gave them a hard time. Amidst their planned attacks, the Royal Blues were unable to convert those scoring opportunities and instead, had to be content with the even steven finish.

Schalke 04 currently sit at the 4th spot of the Bundesliga table. Like Bayern, they also maintain an undefeated streak in their last six (6) matches.

Prediction: Bayern Munchen

Technically speaking, the match’s result will hardly affect the Bavarian’s title defence as they have successfully established a good lead.

Schalke, however, is a club that is also used to winning and will therefore put up a challenge against the incumbent titleholder.

Bayern, though, have a better team form and the depth of their squad cannot be questioned. But just like with Manchester City, they cannot be complacent for another blue squad might just let them have another taste of a bitter defeat.
