Venue: Commerzbank Arena

After limiting Borussia Mönchengladbach (The Foals) to just one goal and thrashing Gyori Eto in a friendly, Bayern Munchen (Bavarians) looks forward to clinching their second victory when they visit Eintracht Frankfurt (Eagles) in Commerzbank Arena this 17 August 2013.

Previous performance
The Bavarians is off to a good start, thus, making them a heavy favorite of online bookies over the Eagles. Aside Aside from winning against the Foals, it is worthy to mention that the Bavarians has only lost once in their last 18 matches.

Meanwhile, the Eagles suffered a big blow to the newly promoted Hertha Berlin. Losing the first match is normal. However, what is (unacceptable) is to bow down to a literal “green horn” in the league. And not only that, to be thrashed not just by 1, but 6 goals.

Facing the Bavarians, the Eagles have no other choice but to win. Unfortunately, Pep Guardiola is less likely to give them a chance. The truth is, the Eagles have only won twice out of their 10 matches against the Bavarians.

Players to watch out for
Borussia Dortmund’s former star player, Mario Götze is expected to return into the pitch after recovering from an injury that caused him the appearance in the Champions League appearance. As one of united Germany’s youngest goal scorer, his presence will definitely boost the club’s scoring maneuvers. Moreover, this gives Guardiola the opportunity of resting Thomas Thomas Müller and Mario Mandzukic.

Bayern’s dominance
Facing the Eagles, the Bavarians will most likely control the match and apply Guardiola’s tiki-taka bias. Guardiola admits that the club is still on the process of adapting the new approach. Nevertheless, going for the 4-2-3-1, for the meantime, barely affects the clubs’ performance.

In as much as this encounter is important for Eintracht Frankfurt, it also matters to Bayern as the match’s is one of their great opportunities to beat Hertha Berlin in terms of aggregate scoring.
