Team Form

After a down the wire match against SC Freiburg, Augsburg moved to the 8th spot of the Bundesliga table and is now a notch away from qualifying in the European competition

Despite the shocking defeat to Nurnberg, Augsburg proved that they are one of the strongest forces on the pitch when a come from behind rally saw them snatched a 4-2 victory over SC  Freiburg. Despite the latter’s lackluster performance this season, they continue to be one of the biggest threats that any club should be wary of and this was exactly what they did to Augsburg.

SC Freiburg was quick to react when Tobias Werner took the early lead for the club. Their very own Jonathan Schmid and Admir Mehmedi fired two (2) goals, which saw them on the driver seat. Unfortunately, Augsburg’s persistence resulted to a scoring spree from Paul Verhaegh, Hailil Altintop and Andre Hahn.

With the said win, Augsburg now have an undefeated run in nine (9) of their last ten (10) matches.

Hannover 96

Hannover 96 suffered its 3rd consecutive loss at the hands of Bayern Munchen. The latter was thrashed in their own territory and stuck on the 11th spot of the table.

Hannover’s current form is in dire need of improvement. They have only won twice in their last 6 matches and have failed to score in their last 3 encounters. The club cannot continue in such performance knowing that the season is still, far from being over.

Prediction:  Augsburg

Augsburg is keen on making it to the European competition. Expect the club to never forego the opportunity to seal their spot in the above-mentioned tournament and at the same time, ensure a strong finish this season.
