AC Milan

After a two consecutive winning streak and a draw, the Rossoneri fell down again as Napoli’s Gokhan Inler and Adel Gonzalo Higuain propelled Napoli to victory.

It seemed that the European competition will be missing one of its regulars, AC Milan. The failure to win against Napoli made the club slip to the 11th spot of the table.

This season saw the Rossoneris struggle. Inconsistency and a lackluster performance have readily spoiled the club’s aspirations for a stronger finish.

So far, their current form has shown some improvement. But today’s situation requires consistency—something which the  squad has not been readily achieved.

With their upcoming match against Bologna, AC Milan gets another opportunity to score more points and get a lift from their current rank. But not until such optimism is translated to results, the club will need to create major changes that will let them return on top.

Bologna

The departure of team captain Alessandro Diamanti seemed to be more of a boon than bane, explained Bologna’s head honcho, Davide Ballardini.

Ballardini explained that the lack of a team leader inspired the squad to be more “united” and organized.

With such positive reaction, the club landed a victory against Torino. The triumph enabled the club to move to a better rank and temporarily veer away from the dreaded relegation zone.

Currently, Bologna sports a win, three(3) draws and two (2) losses during its last six (6) matches in Serie A.

Prediction: AC Milan

Bologna has never won against AC Milan during its last six (6) matches. Under this context, their possibility of winning over Bologna is high. It is also important to note that during their last three (3) previous meetings, the Rossoneris have scored an average of 2.5 goals. Moreover, the club has been undefeated in twenty-one (21) of their last twenty-three (23) home matches in the league.
