AS Roma- Week 9

Palermo vs. Chievo

Match Date: 29 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Renz Barbera

Palermo’s manager, Giuseppe Iachini admitted that his side committed crucial mistakes during the clash against Juventus. The newly-promoted squad has been struggling to keep their pace in the top-flight league and the recent defeat barely helps them keep their Serie A status.

The Rosanero has only won once since the season started. The squad is still eyeing for its second win with the hope that it will get them out of the relegation zone.

Chievo’s state is no different from Palermo. The club also lingers in the relegation zone and the defeat to Genoa made their situation even worse. The said loss marked their 3rd consecutive defeat. And they have never won a single match during their last six (6) matches. The club is already desperate for a win. Otherwise, a new bout of defeat may subject them to a difficult survival struggle.

Palermo 1-0 Chievo

AS Roma vs. Cesena

Match Date: 29 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Olimpico

AS Roma

It is pretty natural for manager Rudi Garcia to lament on his team’s scoreless stalemate against Sampdoria. The said result prevented them from cutting Juventus’ lead to a single point.

But despite the said result, the capital club  and sports betting favorite could still keep the pressure against the defending champion. Juve’s 3-point lead is still, very much manageable and the season has just started. There will be plenty of time for Roma to snatch the title, but thy need to be consistent with their performances.

Cesena’s attempt to avoid the relegation zone may not materialize too soon due to AS Roma’s strength. The squad did an impressive job of making life difficult for Inter, but containing an opponent is not enough. The squad needs to score victories and collect points in order to remain in the top-flight league

AS Roma 3-0 Cesena
