Newcastle - Week 17

Hull vs. Swansea

Match Date: 20 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: KC Stadium

Despite its loss to Tottenham, Swansea remains as the match’s online betting favorite. The squad sports a better form than its opponent, Hull and even if they play in their ground, they still have a better leverage.
It is no secret that Swansea’s recent performances have been inconsistent and this caused them to drop into the 9th spot of the league table. Nevertheless, their inconsistency pales in comparison with Hull.

Hull has already hit rock bottom with its 4th loss. As a matter of fact, they’re winless in their last 6 matches and has only generated 13 points since the season started.

Prediction

Swansea 3-0 Hull

Newcastle United vs. Sunderland

Match Date: 20 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: St. James’ Park

After the shocking upset against Chelsea, Newcastle United was unfortunate enough to have a temporary stop to their winning streak. Pitted against the sports betting favorite, Arsenal, Newcastle suffered a major thrashing. The match ended in 4-1, favoring the Gunners.

Apparently, this could easily destroy their confidence. But this is not the right time to lament on unfortunate scenarios that already took place. Instead, they should use it as inspiration when they go against a resilient Sunderland.

The Black Cats currently occupies the 15th spot of the league table, but they’ve been very good in capitalizing on draws. Five (5) of its last 6 matches ended in  a stalemate and has somehow, prevented them from dropping into the relegation zone.

Newcastle should be wary of Sunderland’s strength or they might find themselves in a very compromising situation.
