Newcastle United - Week 16

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United

Match Date: 13 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Arsenal

The Gunners will probably capitalize on their home court advantage when they face an aggressive Newcastle United. Unbeaten in its last twenty-four (24) home matches, the squad will try to seek redemption after succumbing to an (unexpected) defeat to Stoke. Already displaced from the league’s elite, Arsenal has no excuse to lose the match despite disappointing thoughts that Newcastle United just gained the attention of many sports betting sites.

Newcastle United

Beating the seemingly invincible squad of Jose Mourinho is a definite scene-stealer. Right now, the squad will use the said victory to inspire them in securing yet another victory in the top-flight league. Should they win, Newcastle gets the opportunity to outrank Arsenal in the Premier League ranking.

Prediction

Arsenal 1-2 Newcastle United

West Bromwich Albion vs. Aston Villa

Match Date: 13 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: The Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom missed the chance to move farther away from the relegation zone after being held to a scoreless stalemate by Hull City. Indeed, these are the times when a draw fails to generate some improvements in a club’s rank. What made the matters even worse was the fact that they are winless in their last five (5) matches.

Aston Villa

If West Brom experiences a 5-match winless streak, Aston Villa, presents a different story. The squad is on its 5th undefeated match and has already veered away from the relegation zone, thanks to several draws and a couple of wins that the team generated. Certainly, they will not be easy on West Brom, but the squad also anticipates that their opponent will put up a good fight.

Prediction

West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Aston Villa
