Montpellier - Week 15

Reims vs. Bastia

Match Date: 29 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stade Auguste-Delaune

Reims settled with a scoreless stalemate against Nice and this barely caused a significant impact in its rank. Although undefeated in its last six (6) matches, the club is stuck in the league’s mid-table. Apparently, the draws are not helping them since it has been preventing them from improving their position in the top-flight league.

Bastia shares a similar dilemma with Reims. The even steven finish that it had against Lyon did not trigger an upward move in their present rank. They need three (3) solid points for them to see the improvement that they’re aiming for.

Caen vs. Montpellier

Match Date: 29 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stade Michel d’Ornano

Caen had a display of grit and resiliency in its recent match. The newly-promoted squad  caused trouble to a more established AS Monaco, when it unleashed a massive attack during the second half.  Monaco, however, was able to pull off a late equalizer, which prevented Caen from securing all the three (3) points. But then again, this shouldn’t be a problem when they face the football betting favorite, Montpellier. The stalemate should inspire them to work harder and eventually, move away from the bottom part of the table.

Montpellier jumped into the 9th spot of the table after snatching a win against Toulouse. Scoring two (2) massive goals, it is evident that the club responded well from their 2-0 loss to Bastia and will most likely snatch another  3 points when they visit Caen.
