Paris Saint Germain- Week 13

Paris Saint Germain vs. Marseille

Match Date: 09 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Parc des Princes

Paris Saint Germain

Paris Saint Germain  (PSG) shall not waste the opportunity of cutting Marseille’s lead and increasing the pressure against the current league leader in their upcoming match. The defending champion unleashed a late rally during their clash against Lorient to clinch the crucial three (3) points in an attempt to strengthen its title defence.

Edinson Cavani and Jean-Christophe Bahebeck served as the squad’s heroes during their most recent match.

Marseille

Also a certified online betting favorite, a 10-man Marseille did not allow Jacques-Alaixys Romao’s red card to weaken the team’s spirit during the clash against the newly-promoted Lens.

Nicolas N’Koulou already took the lead for Marseille until Baptiste Guillaume equalized and Romao received the booking. Fortunately, Florian Thauvin salvaged a shot on the 60th to give the club the needed win and extend its lead to four (4).

Prediction

Paris Saint Germain 1-1 Marseille

Rennes vs. Lorient

Match Date: 07 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stade de la Route de Lorient

Rennes

Rennes had to settle for an even steven finish and forget the idea of clinching three (3) points after going against Nantes last week.

With both squads scoring during the first half, the two were forced to employ a stronger defence, which, unfortunately, ended in a draw. While it is true that the result is a bit disappointing for both parties, still, it is better than losing the three (3) points.

Lorient

Lorient further slipped down to the relegation zone after losing to PSG at home. Raphael Gurreiro gave the club an early lead, but Cavani and Bahebeck soon erased it. Lorient has already lost five (5) of its last six (6) matches and is in dire need of snatching a win as soon as possible.

Prediction

Rennes 2-0 Lorient
