Real Madrid - Week 11

Real Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano

Match Date: 08 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Santiago Bernabeu

Real Madrid

Flying high and gaining control of Spain’s top-flight league, Real Madrid’s possibility of losing is very low. The club is closed to being invincible after maintaining a 6-match undefeated streak.
After its dismal two (2) losses at the beginning of the season, the club suddenly propelled to the apex of success. This was further reaffirmed by its unbeaten run in the Champions League. Many of the sports betting sites are already considering the club as the top favorite for winning another Champions League title due to the strength it has shown.

Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano’s head honcho, Paco Jemez rued the “defensive errors,” which Rayo Vallecano committed during their encounter against Eibar. The club made a grand comeback during the second half, but the petty mistakes it committed during the first half prevented them from owning the pitch.

Jemez then stressed that they need to show some grit when they meet the Los Blancos this weekend to compensate for their recent loss. He explained that the upcoming match will be a difficult one, but they need to keep up with the challenge and show their best.

Real Madrid 4-0 Rayo Vallecano

Real Sociedad vs. Atletico Madrid

Match Date: 09 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Anoeta

Real Sociedad

La Real’s 1-0 loss to Malaga prompted the squad’s management to sack its manager Jagoba Arrasate.

The team has only won once since the season started and with their recent defeat, they further fell into the rock bottom pit of the league table. Occupying the 19th spot, there is still no news about Arrasate’s replacement. However, speculations have it that former Manchester United’s manager, David Moyes is favorite to take the vacant position.

Atletico Madrid

Earning its 3rd consecutive victory, there is no doubt that Atletico Madrid is back to its winning ways. The club just thrashed the newly-promoted Cordoba to catapult its rank to the 3rd spot of the La Liga table.  The defending champion is just a point behind the current league leader, Real Madrid.

Back in the Champions League, the squad also secured a thrilling win against Malmo and has already qualified in the next stage of the tournament.
