Malaga vs. Celta Vigo

Match Date: 26 October 2013

Match Venue: Estadio La Rosaleda, Malaga

Malaga

Not including Casado (who is out due to injury), Malaga have a good head count. This means that the side can exploit their full potential to score goals and possibly win a fixture, which they badly need following back-to-back defeats in their last two matches. Both Osasuna and Real Madrid coerced Los Boquerones to a downfall by preventing them from netting a goal. The clean sheets by the opponents pulled Malaga from number 10 down to the 13th spot in the league table, which tainted team boss Bernd Schuster’s plan of slamming the otherwise vulnerable opponents. Nevertheless, the players would have already learned from their mistakes and may take on their next battle as a platform to avenge themselves.

Celta Vigo

For five matches in row, Celta Vigo have failed to go past the relegation zone. The side’s campaign to net good innings was heavily destroyed when Villarreal, Getafe, and Elche obtained clean sheets from Os Célticos. Charles, Mina, and Nolito have all shown good stunts in the fixtures, but their facilities were just a fraction of what their opponents could deliver. The hope for an escape from the bottom is still intact, though; but the players would need tremendous efforts to convert that faith into something more concrete.

Football betting tip: Against an increasingly timid adversary, Malaga could use this match as an opportunity to score their third victory this season. Failing to win over the home side in their past five meeting is yet another guarantee that Celta Vigo will have to settle in the bottom.

Barcelona vs. Real Madrid

Match Date: 26 October 2013

Match Venue: Estadio Camp Nou, Barcelona

Barcelona

Undefeated since day one, Barcelona may just be headed to a repeat win in the Spanish top-tier league. However, the victors saw their 13-match successful run in the tournament this year come to an end after delivering a frustrating 0-0 draw against relegation candidates, Osasuna. The deadlock surprised the bulk majority of the spectators, and Barca players themselves; but the conundrum now is whether the side are already starting to lose their momentum. Perhaps, Osasuna may have just really stepped up their game, but the draw may serve as an omen to the defending champions’ possible bow to their peak. Regardless, they are still in tip-top shape to bury the slight [but still important] mishap, and should not succumb to complacency if they want to remain atop the ladder.

Real Madrid

If not for a defeat from arch-rivals Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid would have maintained a clean record this season. Fortunately, the upset only happened once, and the reasonable victories following the bloody encounter have kept the side within the table’s top five. Varane and Alonso may not turn up in Los Blancos’ next fixture, but Ronaldo and his other esteemed men are still in good physical condition to turn the tides in favor of them. So far, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad have already scored 19 goals and conceded only nine. The seven victories, one draw, and one defeat they had this season together gave them 22 points to lead the majority of their opponents.

Online betting tip: With two La Liga superpowers pitted on the same turf, this fixture will absolutely turn out severely ferocious. Either teams are capable of narrowly winning over the other, but a medium-scoring deadlock would likely finish this combat.

________

Espanyol

Levante vs. Espanyol

Match Date: 26 October 2013

Match Venue: Ciutat de Valencia, Valencia

Levante

Drawing in the majority of their matches, Levante are becoming less interesting in the eyes of football supporters. Although their victories over Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna kept their status fairly fine, they were not enough to send the side at least in the top 10. The Granotes are an arguably talented pack, but coach Joaquin Caparros seem to not have the full capacity to completely harness his men’s maximum potential.

Espanyol

Following a triad of dismaying upsets, Espanyol have finally scored a victory when they welcomed Atletico Madrid in their home court. This was particularly a monumental success for the side, in that they were able to pin the league’s current second placers to their first downfall this season. The triumph accordingly pushed the Periquitos from number eight to the sixth spot, with a total of 14 points under their belt.

Football betting tip: In this fixture, Levante will have to face a fairly tough challenge of subduing their nemeses. Espanyol may have been the underdogs in the majority of the meetings they had with Levante; but this time around, the Barcelona-based club will be able to reverse the results.

Sevilla vs. Osasuna

Match Date: 27 October 2013

Match Venue: Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Seville

Sevilla

Plagued by a growing number of injured players, Sevilla have to capitalize extensively on what remains to them. The paucity in healthy warriors took a toll on the squad’s most recent battle, where they were held on a 2-2 draw by Real Valladolid. The result, however, was measured to be moderately impressive, considering that their enemies had fewer men in the sidelines. This partly proves the Sevillistas’ determination of keeping themselves away from the relegation zone, after being trapped there twice this season in the tournament’s fourth and fifth match weeks.

Osasuna

The relegation-prone club are fighting really hard in the competition, doing whatever they can to find their way out of the bottom. After dwelling in the league table’s most dreaded spots for quite a significant time now, Osasuna have finally found a small but crucial silver lining in their La Liga campaign. Los Rojillos were able to hold powerhouse Barcelona to a score-empty draw, making them (Osasuna) the very first club to break the table leaders’ almost-perfect run this season. The side are still spotted in the relegation zone, but the “success” they had over Barcelona was good enough to motivate them in their future tourneys and gain new fans across Spain.

Online betting tip: Osasuna have shown impressive defense in their fight against Barca, and are inspired enough to bring their match to a higher level to defeat the injury-stricken Sevilla. This match may well endow Los Rojillos their third win this season, which in turn, would finally allow them to pick up points to veer away from the relegation zone.
