Osasuna vs. Almeria

Match Date: 08 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio El Sadar

After spending the majority of their La Liga stint in the relegation zone, Osasuna have finally fetched themselves out of the abyss after they have picked up three points from thrashing Rayo Vallecano on week 11. Unfortunately, the sudden improvement was eventually spoiled by Real Sociedad. Los Rojillos had difficulty fortifying their defense, letting their opponents score five goals. Their attack was similarly frail, which did not allow them to score any goal. The squad are also facing injury problems, with Sisi, Armenteros, and Nino on the sidelines. Nevertheless, Javi Gracia could still find silver lining in this tragedy. His men are resilient fighters, and winning in their next bout is not entirely impossible.

Winning their last two matches, Almeria are bridging themselves much closer to a La Liga re-entry by next season. Topping the charts remains tremendously difficult, but reaching the mid-table can, at least, be reassuring. The side may have been disarmed by the consecutive number of weeks they spent in the table’s most feared sections, but Francisco Rodríguez’s lads were never weakened by the unfortunate events. The players are improving, particularly Rodri, Torsiglieri, and Vidal. However, much more preparation is still needed for the troupe to secure a genuinely safe placement.

Football betting tip: Two of the league’s most underappreciated sides are set to launch an intriguing clash. Both Osasuna and Almeria have gained confidence in some of their most recent successes, and are determined enough to continue a satisfying La Liga campaign. A deadlock is highly probable in this meeting, but if they succeed in perfectly managing set pieces, Osasuna may tackle Almeria on a very narrow, yet highly significant win. Betting between 1.83 and 2.07 on the home side will not hurt.

Granada vs. Malaga

Match Date: 08 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio Los Cármenes

Their last three fixtures rendered them victorious twice. Granada achieved clean sheets against Elche and Levante, and were defeated by Atletico Madrid on a mere one-goal lead. Despite the loss, the squad’s three-match, recent streak is considered very strong. El Grana boss Lucas Alcaraz is finding new traction for his men, and the success can be further upgraded if he could maintain his side’s strong defense and work harder on the offense.

Desperation can sometimes be advantageous, especially when it is ‘done the right way.’ After accumulating just one point in four matches (three losses, one draw), Malaga have finally obtained victory when they rallied against Real Betis 3-2. Santa Cruz opened the scoring for Los Boquerones, while a second goal for the same team was delivered by Eliseu. Both innings, however, were cancelled out by Real Betis’ Verdu and Figueras, correspondingly. What broke the tie was Samu’s late goal, which was impressive enough to keep the Andalusian derby under their control.

Online betting tip: This match will see both sides go neck-and-neck. Consistency-wise, Granada have the better say; but when it comes to scoring abilities, Malaga are much more into it. The squads’ last four encounters also gave them two victories apiece. Therefore, this meeting will conclude in a stalemate.
