Real Sociedad will need to reconstruct its squad after a disappointing performance during the 2013/ 2014 season. La Real is down to the 7th spot, after an impressive 4th place finish in the 2012/2013 tournament.


Down by three (3) notches and unable to qualify in the Champions League, La Real demands a different approach to their playing style.


The pressure to improve intensifies as reports of Antoine Griezmann’s impending exit escalate.


Match to remember

La Real’s 5-0 win over Osasuna was its first massive win during the season. It also gave their morale the much needed boost after an inconsistent start.


Aside from that, Real Sociedad also made a comeback win against the online betting’s favorite, Barcelona wherein they snatched a 3-1 victory.


Match to forget

Real Madrid’s 5-1 thrashing immediately eclipsed the celebration of the great Osasuna win.


The massive loss though did not end in Los Blancos’ hands. As the season went by, Real Sociedad had to endure a  heavy beating from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.


They also failed to snatch a win in their Champions League campaign.


The scene-stealers

Carlos Vela hit the headlines when he refused to play for Mexico during the recently concluded 2014 World Cup in favor of Real Sociedad. The decision was immediately dismissed as an ingrate act. Nevertheless, it looked like Vela readily made an effort to back up his decision. He was Real Sociedad’s top scorer—accumulating a total of sixteen  (16) points and delivering twelve (12) assists.


Latest Additions

Carlos Vela was previously reported to return to Arsenal. However, the striker dismissed all rumours and stressed that he will stay with La Real. But there is another poacher who will be featuring in real Sociedad and this is no other than Heerenveen’s Alfred Finnbogason.


Finnbogason scored fifty-three (53) points during his sixty-five (65) appearances at  Heerenveen
