Recap

The coming season demands Granada to step up its game. The squad has been a consistent relegation contender for the past two (2) seasons. Just recently, Granada finished on the 15th spot again. Since it entered the Primera Division, the squad found an interesting contentment in lingering at the rock bottom part of the table. The team needs to have ambitions instead of being merely satisfied by the idea of keeping its Primera Division status.

A closer look at Granada’s performances last season, reveals its potential.  It can easily recover from a winless streak. However, it has been very inconsistent. It surprises the crowd with a grand display only to succumb into one loss after another. Likewise, the team’s lack of discipline and control resulted to unnecessary red cards and therefore, prevented its  rise in the table.

Match to remember

Nothing really spectacular transpired in majority of Granada’s matches. The win over the online betting favorite, Villarreal, was great, but it hardly made an impact considering Granada’s declining form. But yes, the victory can be reconsidered.

Match to forget

After thrashing Valladolid with four (4) goals, being forced to a scoreless stalemate by the relegated Osasuna was totally embarrassing.

The scene-stealers

Youssef El-Arabi’s twelve (12) goals is one of the reasons behind Granada’s survival.

Yacine Brahimi’s 5 goals were also instrumental in keeping the club remain in Spain’s top-flight league.

Latest Additions

Granada’s management looks forward to securing the signatures of Rubén Rochina and Jhon Córdoba. The club expects the said move to not only strengthen the team, but also, move them out of the table’s bottom part.
