A dismal finished during the 2012/2013 season readily inspired Deportivo de La Coruña to seek redemption and find their way back in the Primera Division.

The determination to return to the top-flight league was intense. The Turks ensured that they will be doing it the fast and easy way via clinching the runner-up spot of Liga Adelante. As a matter of fact, a mere 2-point lead separates them from the league leader, Eibar.

Match to remember

Deportivo’s close encounter with Hercules almost subjected them to a humiliating loss. They were ahead by two (2) goals during the first half, thanks to Toché and Juan Carlos Real Ruiz’s goals. However, Hercules made its presence known when during the second half. Javier Portillo gave Hercules its first goal, whilst Abdoul Sissoko scored the equalizer.

With five (5) minutes remaining in the match, Toché once again, netted a goal and helped the Turks secured the victory.

Match to forget

As mentioned, Deportivo could have snatched the Liga Adelante title last season. Unfortunately, a 3-1 defeat in the hands of Girona denied them the opportunity to dominate the league.

Girona ensured that they had a comfortable lead via netting three (3) consecutive goals, in which Deportivo has only responded once.

The scene-stealers

Scoring ten (10) goals, Borja Bastón is a prominent figure, who helped Deportivo become an online betting favorite again.

Latest Additions

According to reports, the club is keen on acquiring defenders in the transfer market. Two (2) of its top picks are Tiago Ilori and Chico Flores.
