Two (2) seasons ago, survival was Celta Vigo’s primary concern. A 5-year stay at Segunda Division forced the club to adjust. But all their efforts eventually paid off.


From a newly-promoted and relegation-prone squad in 2012/2013, they have finally penetrated the top 10 last season. They finished on the 9th spot of the table and were only beaten by goal difference disparities against Valencia.


Celta Vigo’s entry was really unexpected. The team struggled at the onset of the season, accumulating several defeat. However, a late rally readily catapulted them into the apex of success.


Match to remember

Celta Vigo was a scourge to football betting’s top pick, Real Madrid. They were one of the culprits, which snatched the Los Blanco’s dream to dominate Spain’s top-flight league.
A brace from Charles prevented Carlos Ancelotti and his men from securing three (3) crucial points that could have completed their treble ambitions during the last season.

Celta Vigo suffered a winless streak during its first nine (9) matches last season. As mentioned, such scenario caused its supporters to doubt its abilities to survive the tournament.
