This September 15 of La Liga’s fourth week, Madrid-based club Getafe will unravel a clash with current underdogs, Osasuna. While this match seems to tell a quite obvious conclusion, it would be apt to see things in fair perspective before conjecture becomes reality and online betting smashes iron-hot trends. The event will take place at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, Getafe’s home court.

Both Getafe and Osasuna had their curtain raisers for the new season ridiculously awkward. The home side were easily thrashed by Real Sociedad 0-2 in a match that saw Vela and Seferovic intelligently convert opportunities into scores. Osasuna, meanwhile, endured hostile slamming from Granada in their match’s first 45 minutes. The opponents were seen to be the only side that could score in the tourney, but thanks to Puñal’s furious faculties, Osasuna were later able to score a goal. Yet still, they finished the match in a defeat 1-2.

Getafe were a little luckier in their second appearance of the season than they were in their curtain raiser. Against Almeria, the side bagged their first draw in the tournament 2-2. This, however, was not an entirely impressive display as the Azulones were only able to seize an equalizer via converting a late penalty. Luis García Plaza’s squad’s unspectacular streak continued with a defeat from Real Valladolid 0-1 in their third stint in the season. Despite only having one player sidelined, the side remain a volatile ensemble due to sparse transfer activity.

For three consecutive matches, Osasuna came off as grand slam failures. As if their opening defeat from Granada was not yet excruciating, Los Rojillos followed it up with two more losses: one from Athletic Bilbao 0-2 and another from Villareal 0-3. Bedlam in the managerial aspect of the team is taking a toll on the side’s performance, with coach José Luis Mendilibar already sacked from the club. In addition, Osasuna have a growing list of absentees (four players sidelined).

Prediction: Both sides are yet to seize a remarkable win in order for them to ascend in their current rankings. But for now, Osasuna will have to remain in the bottom as Getafe will probably convert this match to their advantage.
