Both Villarreal and Barcelona have great chances of securing berth in UEFA’s top two intercontinental tournaments, having shown dramatic achievements in the current season of the Premier League. These squads are among the most consistent in the competition that even if they had a few shortcomings, they remained adrift of the table’s bottom half. El Submarino Amarillo reached the top three a few times this season while Barca dominated the race for 23 non-consecutive weeks.

By overall form, Barcelona are ahead of Villarreal by a mile. Their past several meetings also saw the guests rule the scoring numerous times. Of their six most recent face-offs, Gerardo Martino’s men defeated Marcelino García Toral’s players five times. Barca are also 29 points clear of their hosts.

Online betting tip: Barcelona will display an attack-powered dominance over Villarreal.

Celta Vigo vs. Real Valladolid

Match Date: 28 April 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio Balaídos

Celta Vigo would only need at least four points to secure their place in next season’s La Liga. However, they can no longer aspire for a UEFA seeding as this feat would already extremely difficult at this stage of the competition. Their form is not comforting either, with only two of their past six matches yielded clear successes.

Real Valladolid remain at high risk of relegation as they are only adrift of the drop zone by four goals. They are level on points with 18th placers Getafe and an uninspiring recent streak will not give them enough confidence to secure strong finish by the season’s closing. A serious reform in their defense is what they need to survive the season.

Football betting tip: Celta Vigo could pull off a narrow win over Valladolid.
