Barcelona’s three previous matches have so far been exceptionally impressive. The victory over Manchester City 2-1 in the Champions League further solidified their chance into the title battle; the 7-0 thumping at Osasuna in La Liga was among the best home records for the season; and most recently, the 3-4 away triumph at championship chasers Real Madrid just surmounted every possibility that Barca could pull off against a fellow superpower. Leo Messi is proving his fierceness once more as he volleyed two consecutive hat-tricks in his club’s two most recent La Liga fixtures.

Celta Vigo are marooned in the mid-table following a goalless defeat from Malaga. This counts as their third downfall in four attempts, enlarging the loopholes in their increasingly deteriorating form. Thus far, they have scored 33 points in 29 matches and are faced with a challenge of turning their unkind goal difference around.

Online betting tip: Barcelona will largely dominate the scoring against Celta.

Rayo Vallecano vs. Osasuna

Match Date: 26 March 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas

Rayo and Osasuna’s last three meetings rendered the latter more dominant than the former. However, the current top-flight competition is telling a less similar story: they are nearly of the same caliber with neither of them showing significant superiority of the other. Both squads are ranked near the table’s relegation zone which means that they need substantial efforts and develop better tactics in order to chase survival.

Form-wise, the sides have plenty of things in common but their last three fixtures could make the largest difference. The results are completely contrasting: Rayo won all their last three while Osasuna lost every single battle in the streak. As for the skills they truly excel, Rayo play great at protecting the lead while Osasuna do courageous stunts in aerial duels.

Football betting tip: While Rayo Vallecano have lately been more successful than Osasuna, they will be held in draw by their opponents in this match.
